Winter weather has been hitting Salisbury in droves recently.
Weather forecasters are calling for another 3-5 inches of snow and sleet to be dumped on the area tomorrow, March 5.
Rain and sleet are expected to reach the area early Thursday morning, turning to a mix of snow and sleet and eventually snow by mid-Thursday afternoon.
Temperatures are expected to hover in the low 30s but will plummet into the mid 20s as the day progresses. As a result, The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning from 6 a.m. Thursday morning to midnight Thursday night.
Roads and walkways are expected to become covered with snow by the mid-afternoon. Use of caution is urged when travelling in snowy conditions. For information on campus closings and class cancellations call the Gull Line at 410-546-6426.
Thursday morning at 9:45 a.m., it was announced through Twitter and on Salisbury’s website that the campus was closing at 12:30 p.m. except for all essential personnel. Later in the day at 8:45 p.m., it was announced that SU will remained closed through Friday March 6.
