Now that Halloween has come and gone there are a few things you can do with your leftover pumpkin seeds. Here are a few recipes.
Sea Salt Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of raw pumpkin seeds
- 11/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoon of melted butter
- 1 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
- Rinse the pumpkin seeds and let dry. Place them in a bowl. Add the Worcestershire sauce, melted butter and seasoned salt; stir until evenly coated. Spread out in an even layer on a baking sheet or aluminum foil.
- Bake for about 1 hour in the preheated oven, stirring occasionally, until crisp, dry and golden brown.
Cinnamon and Sea Salt Pumpkin Seeds
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of raw pumpkin seeds
- 1 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 teaspoon melted butter
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Rise pumpkin seeds and let dry. Place in a bowl. Add melted butter, cinnamon, and sea salt, mix together. Spread evenly on a baking sheet.
- Bake for about 5 minutes, then sift the seeds. Season with salt and cinnamon again. Continue baking, sifting occasionally, for about 20 minutes, or until seeds are completely toasted.
Honey Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
Ingredients:
- 2 cups raw pumpkin seeds
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of melted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Line baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Mix butter, honey, brown sugar, and sea salt together in a bowl; add pumpkin seeds and mix to coat. Spread coated seeds onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes. Stir seeds and continue baking for 20 more minutes.
- Sprinkle seeds with white sugar and bake until lightly browned, about 20 more minutes.
Maryland Old Bay Pumpkin Seeds
Ingredients:
- 2 cups raw pumpkin seeds
- 1 tablespoon Old Bay (or more if you’re daring)
- Cooking Spray
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.
- Coat a large baking sheet with cooking spray and spread the pumpkin seeds out in a single layer. Spray the tops of the seeds with additional cooking spray. Sprinkle the old bay evenly over the tops.
- Bake for 30 minutes, sifting occasionally, until dry and toasted. Cool for a few minutes before serving.
Garlic & Sea Salt Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
Ingredients:
- 2 cups raw pumpkin seeds
- 1 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Cooking Spray
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
- Rinse the pumpkin seeds and pat dry. Place them in a bowl. Add the sea salt and garlic powder; mix until evenly coated. Spray baking sheet with cooking spray and spread out in an even layer on a baking sheet or aluminum foil. Sprinkle remaining garlic powder and sea salt over seeds.
- Bake for about 1 hour in the preheated oven, sifting occasionally, until crisp, dry and golden brown.
